How Does Google’s Newest Upcoming Gadget Look to You?
Google unveiled the long-awaited "Project Glass" today, its eyeglass-based mobile computing tech.
Deemed "augmented-reality glasses," the sleek eyewear is apparently going to be capable of voice recognition, photography, audio playback, video chatting, GPS, location-based analysis, social media integration, and more.
Their YouTube promo video (below) is pretty impressive, though perhaps heavily doctored since Project Glass is currently in prototype testing mode. Google's present goal is to start generating public feedback and input on feature ideas and general reception.
There is also a contact lens version in the works, though time (and likely marketing research) will determine if and when that technology will see the light of day.
