New Article by FluidMedia’s Keith Adams Published in N. KY Business Journal
Every month, the "Small Business Nugget" column of the Northern Kentucky Business Journal showcases the expert advice of a local entrepreneur or business representative. The May 2012 edition features an "SBN" article penned by FluidMedia co-owner Keith Adams.
"I was told that I could write about anything that pertained to business growth tips and/or solutions," says Adams. "A client of mine had recently asked me about the ins and outs of incorporating video into their website, and I realized that I could really run with that topic."
The brief article, called "Look Ma! I'm On (The New) TV!", discusses the rising prevalence and importance of video in the web world. It also provides some tips on how to best leverage YouTube as a home for your company's online video portfolio.
Here's a sample of the article:
Posting videos to YouTube is free (and sometimes profitable via third-party advertisements, if you like). YouTube’s embedding code and de facto playback controls easily integrate video material into your web pages. For computers and mobile devices without the generally pre-installed Adobe Flash plug-in, YouTube can automatically implement other viewing solutions instead, like HTML5 playback. Your web server will avoid any associated data storage and streaming burden, and your existing server resources can stay focused on effectively delivering non-video content to visitors.
