Client Description
Opened in 1959, Andrean is a Catholic high school belonging to the Diocese of Gary. The school includes a library with computer access, four additional networked computer labs, four science laboratories, a guidance complex, a student chapel, music complex, and three art rooms. Deeply committed to this liberating teaching of Jesus Christ, Andrean High School resolves to enable its students to achieve the degree of academic and moral excellence of which each is capable.
Client's Need
Taking an advertising tradition of printed materials to the next level, they needed a professionally-designed and written booklet that outlines the programs, values, and community of Andrean in a printed piece for standard distribution. They also needed the answer their rising competition with a unique approach that could give them an informational and personal edge, and they weren't sure a viewbook by itself would meet the challenge.
Our Solution
FluidMedia created a 16-page admissions viewbook with custom photography, an eye-catching design, and a rich manuscript full of interesting content for prospective students and parents alike. A perforated tear-out postcard was also included for people who wanted to receive more information about the school.
We also created an admissions CD-ROM business card, providing a supplemental interactive presentation that included video, narrated slideshow, and additional information. Each 1-2 minute video contained testimonial from actual students who regaled fun experiences and positive growth attained at Andrean, along with B-roll and photography. Narrated slideshow chapters displayed additional photography and text while briefly detailing historical information, outstanding achievements, and a variety of interesting school facts. FluidMedia even added music throughout the presentation by producing several remixes of the school fight song, and even included samples from the Andrean band.
The CD-ROM business card could also be included with each viewbook, affixed to an inner page. As a combination package, this powerful tool was a digital-age attractor that would sell the technology, uniqueness and progressive nature of the school, especially to tech-savvy young people and to anyone desensitized by print materials alone.
