Client Description
Berding 3D Scanning provides laser scanning and reverse engineering services. We convert physical forms into 3D digital data for use in 3D CAD solid modeling, rapid prototyping, simulation and analysis, CAM and other advanced engineering and manufacturing technologies that demand detailed, accurate 3D data. Berding 3D Scanning was purchased by Exact Metrology, Inc.
Client's Need
A site that is separate from the parent company's (Berding Surveying) site, with an informational emphasis toward the use of 3D laser scanning technologies outside of only surveying functionality. Branding was developed elsewhere, but the site aesthetic would have to project the next-gen tech aspects of Berding 3D Scanning as much as possible.
Our Solution
An XHTML/Flash hybrid site that positioned the company as a pioneer in laser-based 3D object & environment capture. Content-rich pages detailed company history, the laser scanning process, a variety of applications for the technology, and more. A FluidMedia-animated version of the logo was employed as the header bar for the site. Various other animations and still photos existed throughout the site, cycling superimposed scanned objects over photography of the real objects to illustrate accuracy, fidelity, and digital efficiency. A small library of downloadable sample files were housed at the site. Visitors could also request a quote online.
